The ArenaMatches

Stake points on a match of skill.

Two members, one board, one clock. Points are game currency: they can never be bought, sold, transferred or turned into money.

Board 01Issue a challenge

Matches are between verified members, so the board knows who staked what.

No challenges are open.

Every open challenge appears here with its stake and pot, oldest first. First posted, first taken.

Settled

No matches have settled yet.

A settled match shows both stakes, what the winner took and the rake that left the economy.

NotationHow a match runs

01You issue a challenge and stake points. Another member accepts and matches the stake.
02Both stakes lock until the match settles. Neither side can withdraw.
03The winner receives the pot minus a 5 percent rake. The rake is burned, never kept by anyone.
04A draw returns both stakes in full, with no rake.
05A challenge nobody accepts within 48 hours expires and the stake is returned.
06Both players report the result. Agreement settles it at once; a disagreement waits for an admin.
07Five challenges a day, three open at once, and ten minutes of cooldown after a match settles.

A match at a stake of 100

Pot: 200
Rake burned: 10
Winner receives: 190

A stake is at most 200 points or a quarter of your balance, whichever is lower, and at least 50 points must remain afterwards. Five challenges a day, three open at once, two settled matches against the same member in a week, and ten minutes of cooldown after a match settles: enough friction that points cannot be passed back and forth.
