Part 01Joining

Joining

What is Quantum Collective Global?
A free community of students, researchers and founders working on quantum computing and deep tech. We meet every Sunday at 16:00 IST on Google Meet, ship one open source quantum tool a month, and keep a public record of who built what. That record is this site: the standings and every member's ledger are open to read.
Who can join?
Anyone, anywhere, at any level. Most members are students; some are researchers and founders. There is no application, no fee and no interview. Join the WhatsApp group and turn up on a Sunday.
Do I need a quantum background?
No. Part one of every session is a plain-language digest, and the monthly build task always includes beginner work that assumes no quantum knowledge at all. If you want to prepare, the resources page lists the two places worth starting.
Is any of it paid?
No. Sessions are free, the recordings are free, and the points on this site are game currency only: they can never be bought, sold, transferred or turned into money. Prizes are recognition, never cash. The full rules are on how points work.
Part 02Sessions

Sessions

When are sessions, and what happens in one?
Every Sunday at 16:00 IST, for sixty to ninety minutes, on Google Meet. Three parts: the week's tech digest, one concept taught properly by a member, then a member spotlight. We hold the session whether two people come or two hundred. See sessions for the archive and the next one's countdown.
What topics do you cover?
Quantum computing first: algorithms, hardware platforms, error correction, quantum machine learning, and applications in finance and life sciences. Past sessions are listed on sessions, with who presented each one.
How do I present?
Say so in the WhatsApp group. Bring a paper you understood, a project you built, or an experiment that failed interestingly. Half-finished is welcome; part three exists for work in progress. Presenting is how most members end up on spotlight.
Can I start a chapter in my city?
Yes, and we would rather you did than waited for permission. Bring it up in the group with the city and roughly who is around; there are already members in seven cities. A chapter is a regular local meet, not a franchise.
Part 03This site

This site

Do I need an account to take part?
No. Sessions, recordings and the build tasks are open to everyone. An account, which is a GitHub sign-in, is only needed if you want your participation recorded: XP, streaks, badges, standings and the Arena. Your profile can be private and you still earn everything.
How do I earn points?
By turning up and by building. Attend a session and enter the code shown on screen; get a pull request merged into a community repository, which is credited automatically. Absence earns nothing, and so does passive presence. How points work lists every route and what verifies it.
What is the Arena?
A place to stake points you already earned on a head-to-head match of skill against another member. Both stakes lock, the winner takes the pot less a 5 percent rake that is burned, and a draw returns both. It needs an 18+ confirmation and two verified attendances. See the Arena.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, from settings, at any time. Your profile and personal details go. Ledger lines are kept but detached from you, because other members' standings were computed against them and a record that can be quietly rewritten is not a record. This is spelled out in privacy.

Ask the group

The fastest answer is usually from somebody who was stuck on the same thing last month. The meeting room is open every Sunday at 16:00 IST whether or not you have asked anything first.
